In a new iPhone 5 release date rumor, it appears that once the newest smartphone fromApple will support the first 4G network in the United Kingdom. The news arrives as the world is awaiting the announcement of the new iPhone from Apple in mid-September of 2012.
According to CultofMac.com, the United Kingdom's first-ever 4G network is expected to roll out starting on September 11th. That's just a day before Apple is rumored to be announcing their new iPhone 5 at a press event, where they'll also unveil their new iPhone and iPad operating system.
One thing mentioned in Pocket Lint's articleis the fact that there's still speculation over what networks will be able to handle the iPhone. In the past, Apple had problems with its newest iPad not working on all networks, because not all of them use the same frequenies. The iPhone 5 can only support a certain number of frequencies, but one would expect Apple would want the United Kingdom's network to be on board.
If worst comes to worst, Apple may delay when the support is available for 800MHz band and 2.6mHZ band frequencies for the 4G LTE connectivity. It seems at this point though, tht the 4G LTE is definitely going to happen, as has been speculated in the past. As for the new iPhone 5 release date, fans continue to hold out for a September 12th announcement, and September 21st release date.
